Kristy and Doug's Wedding

I had the honor of photographing Kristy and Doug's wedding last weekend at the Shrine of St. Joseph Catholic church. The day started with snowshowers and ended with a lovely sunset -- you never know what to expect in St. Louis! Here are some images from the wedding -- be sure to check back for their slideshow which will be posted very soon.

You can check out more images from Kristy and Doug's wedding by viewing their wedding slideshow.

Only 2 more dates available for 2007!

As of this morning we only have two more wedding dates available before we're at capacity for 2007. We photograph a limited number of weddings each year so please hurry if you are interested in commissioning Daniel J. Watkins Photography for your wedding date. Please visit the web-site by clicking here to fill out a contact form.

And as a reminder, as soon as 2007 is sold out, our 2008 rate increase will go into effect. Due to high demand and rising costs associated with high calibre custom wedding album production, the rate increase for 2008 is likely to be pretty substantial. So if you want to save some money, book your 2008 wedding SOON!

Nice Plug on Lightroomkillertips.com!

One of my pet projects -- www.dailyphototips.com -- was featured yesterday (Feb. 7) on a web-site run by one of the co-hosts of Photoshop.tv. Matt Kloskowski runs www.lightroomkillertips.com -- a site dedicated to the newest (and I mean brand-spankin' newest) software program from Adobe. Lightroom version 1.0 is set to be released in the next few weeks after a nearly 1 year beta test by thousands of photographers worldwide. I can't wait until next week's episode of Photoshop.tv to see if he plugs my Daily Photo Tips site on the air. Thanks for the kudos, Matt! :c)

Some Fun Pics...

My wife Maria is really into figure skating. When we were dating, she would have her figure skating classes right before my hockey games. Those were the days. :)

For Christmas she got tickets to the Stars on Ice show that was in town last night. Though our preference for the type of skating differs (she prefers the artistic graceful routines, while I tend to enjoy the more athletic and edgy routines), we both have a great time watching figure skating. When we go to various skating events it's time for me to "play" with my cameras. I like to try to shoot all manual as much as possible...with the constant movement and changing lighting conditions...it's a real effort sometimes -- but I enjoy it! Here are some images I shot last night...
